Hope: The Antidote to Mediocrity

When I think back over the last seven years, I keep coming back to the concept that life isn’t a coincidence. Throughout my divorce and my cancer, I had this small feeling of hope in my gut. I somehow knew that there was more out there for me and that I wasn’t going to leave this earth from that place of mediocracy.

Hope got me through and lead me to where I am today. It allowed me to dream big even when the circumstances were less than favorable.

The more perspective I have, the more I realize that hope is at the root of so many of the conversations I have daily. Women connect with me because they want a certain lifestyle or health benefit. But what really prompted them to reach out was the hope that it was possible.

Hope is at the core of what I do and why I do it. It’s where my passion and conviction come from. There is so much beauty in this industry, and the fact that I’m here experiencing it is not a coincidence.

The people that I’ve met in the last five years, including my husband (it’s such a juicy story — I can’t wait to share it with you!) are in my life because I let myself receive hope. I knew I wasn’t going to go down from cancer, and that I couldn’t die without my children seeing love. I kept fighting and I didn’t let a diagnosis stop me.

Now that I’m here, I don’t even question that this is my purpose. I’m sharing life-changing oils that serve newborns to the elderly, and coaching women to be leaders, ready to design their dream life. I use the story to provide hope to others. It’s an all-encompassing picture that sometimes takes my breath away.

I firmly believe that we are ALL here for a purpose and that nothing is a coincidence. The people in my circle of influence and the lives I’ve been able to touch were put in my life for a reason.

If you’re in a place that feels desolate right now, I urge you to listen to the bit of hope that’s left. Realize that there is so much beauty in this world, even though the news and media continually focus on the bad. I know from experience that the people who have come into your life are there for a reason, and nothing you’re experiencing is a coincidence.

In the thick of it, it can be tempting to see hope as a fluffy message, but please understand that hope is so much more than that. It’s at the root of everything.

I want to encourage you that it’s not a coincidence that you’re reading this blog post — or even that you found my website. That still, small voice in your soul that’s telling you there is more out it is right. You are capable of thriving rather than just surviving and living the life you’ve always wanted.

I’ll leave you with a question that one of my girlfriends asked me when we were sitting together just a month after my double mastectomy. “What do you want different?” That simple question prompted me to manifest my dream guy with such precise detail that you almost wouldn’t believe my journaled list was written before I met my husband, Mike.
